Champions Day
One race day stands heads and shoulders above all others in the South. It's the premier event - Champions Day at Wingatui on Saturday, January 31st 2015. The South's only Premier meeting. The best horses, the best jockeys, the biggest fields, the highlight of the racing year. The day features the highly anticipated Otago Punter of the Year competition with amazing prizes up for grabs! Awesome! We hope to see you on-course.

Entertainment:
The day features the highly anticipated Otago Punter of the Year competition. This event will be hosted in the Skipper Wilson bar home to the Wingatui racing memorabilia archive. There will be some great prizes up for grabs courtesy of Speights, $2 stubbies all day and free Couplands pies for all entrants.
Bring the family along for free kids’ entertainment, including:
- Bart from Dunedin Pony Parties, a 95cm high miniature pony who just loves young children!
- Elizabeth from Fun Faces Face Painting will be on-course to add sparkle and fun to the afternoon, with professional face painting and glitter tattoos.
- Outback Entertainment will be on-course with bouncy castles and little go-carts.
Otago Punter of the Year
Free Entry to Competition - Team & Individual Competitions
This event will be hosted in the Skipper Wilson bar home to the Wingatui racing memorabilia archive. There will be some great prizes up for grabs courtesy of Speights, $3 stubbies all day and $3 Couplands pies for all entrants. There is a team and individuals contest.
The individual winner will land a trip to Auckland Cup Day, whilst the team will win a day out at the Cromwell Christmas at the Races in the VIP Room inclusive of a nights accommodation and a $250 betting voucher! To enter all you will need to do is provide an opening punting pool of $200 (Individuals) $400 (Teams) and will be prepared to spend 20% of your pool on each of the races in the contest. Take home the trophy for Otago Speights Punter of the Year!!

General Admission: Adults $15, Children (aged 17 and under) free entry

$100 per person (or $900 for a table of 10)
