Interislander Summer Festival Awapuni Races
Kids are spoilt for choice at Interislander Summer Festival Awapuni Races! There is something for the whole family to see and do with free all day kids entertainment, exciting thoroughbred racing action and live music! Pack a picnic and join Manawatu Racing Club at Palmerston North's premier racecourse this summer.

There is loads of great entertainment for the whole family at Interislander Summer Festival!
Kids Go Racing
For children there is free entertainment all day with Kids Go Racing. The popular activities for under-12s have a fun equine theme, with classics ‘pin-the-tail-on-the-horse’ and the horseshoe toss. Prizes will be up for grabs and kids will have a chance to meet Hopples, the friendly horse mascot.
Other kids activities include on-track races, a scavenger hunt, lolly scramble and colouring-in competition.
Adults enjoy the live music, local food and drink and the chance to relax and unwind whilst studying the race form. A punters club will be operating on the day, for your share in the racing action tickets are $10.
General Admission: Adults $10, Children (aged 18 and under) free entry

Awapuni Racecourse is located approximately 10 minutes drive from the City centre of Palmerston North. From State Highway 56 (Pioneer Highway) turn down Maxwells Line and take the first left down Racecourse Road.
