Diamond Day provides the perfect opportunity to celebrate the finale of a fantastic Auckland Cup Week! The day follows the tradition of Ladies’ Day internationally with a focus on style, glamour and fashion. It is a ladies day and the ultimate celebration of being fabulous and female!
There is free children’s entertainment including bouncy castles and swingball for a great family day out – remember children under 15 go free to all Ellerslie racedays.

Diamond Darling Fashion Competition
The best-dressed ladies oncourse will be in with a chance to win in the Diamond Darling fashion competition. A glamorous event with a unique component of luck – judges select up to 14 fashionable racegoers and each finalist then draws a horse running in the Group I $200,000 Haunui Farm Diamond Stakes race. The finalist whose horse wins the race, wins the competition!
General Admission: Adults $10, Children (aged 15 to 17) $10

Spend the day outside on the one of the public lawns and enjoy easy access to the bars, grandstand seating, betting facilities (and shade!) of the Ellerslie Stand.
Bring some delectable nibbles (and unopened non-alcoholic drinks), set up your picnic table and don't forget the sunscreen! A perfect option for the whole family, with children under 15 years entitled to free general admission
A range of hot and cold food and beverages will be available to purchase in public areas oncourse.

- While a dress code is not enforced in general admission areas, if you plan on going to other areas oncourse you might need to check if one applies there. You can view the dress code here.

Ellerslie Racecourse in Auckland is well sign posted from the Southern Motorway. The best exit is Greenlane. At the roundabout turn left if travelling from north of Auckland on the motorway, or right if travelling from the south. At the first set of lights turn right. And the best thing? There is extensive free parking on site!
